Homework:
30 minutes of reading and a reading log. If students hand in all their work on time this week and don't owe me any reading logs, next week they won't have to do reading logs as homework. Same goes for spelling. Tonight they must get their list of 10 words completed and one copy of the list due to me Tuesday.
By Friday:
Students should hand in 1 reading log each day a total of 4 due by Friday.
Spelling homework: 10 words they will work on this week and a list for me due Tuesday.
Wednesday: The definitions for their 10 words.
Thursday: 10 sentences using the words creatively. One word per sentence.
Today in Class:
Math: Students worked on improper fractions and mixed numbers.
Language Arts; Students are finishing up the written part of their I Am Poems and gathering digital pictures to use in a PhotoStory.
Social Studies: We presented about the Aztecs in class and some students began our journey to Brazil.
Science: We produced a movie of vocabulary review for the digestive system.
